Severn Beach Rail service affected by flooding

Train services between Bristol Temple Meads and Severn Beach via Clifton Down and Avonmouth will be terminated at and started back from Clifton Down. Disruption is expected until 18:00. See the latest updates from the service operator.

Rail disruptions August 2024

On Saturday 17 August, there will be no trains running between Avonmouth and Severn Beach, with replacement buses running instead.

From Sunday 18 to Friday 23 August, there will be no trains running between Severn Beach/Avonmouth and Bristol Temple Meads. Replacement buses will be in operation instead. Our services will still operate between Bristol Temple Meads and Filton Abbey Wood, but during this period they will not be able to call at Stapleton Road or Lawrence Hill. Customers with valid rail tickets will be able to use local buses instead to make their journey, as well as using the replacement bus services.

Grosvenor Hotel fire: buses, cycling and walking affected

Due to the Grosvenor Hotel fire, Bristol City Council has put a cordon in place around the building for the safety of the public. This is affecting the pavement, cycle path and bus lane adjacent to the building. There will be diversion signs in place for pedestrians and cyclists.
